MY STORY

AC Insights – short for Allen Consulting Insights – is a new venture based on many years of personal work in the global economic development market.  As a cultural anthropologist, and before that as a curious kid, my life journey has involved navigating boundaries, from math/science and humanities, to cross-cultural collaboration and learning, to quantitative and qualitative methods, and socio-economic inclusion of under-resourced groups (based on gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, rural-urban residence, age, etc.). 

Experience has taught me that combining local knowledge and global perspectives, and using both qualitative and quantitative methods, provides the fullest set of insights to social programs on the effectiveness of their current paths.  At the same time, this holistic mixed-methods approach can generate a more detailed map of how best to navigate the road ahead. 

Working in multiple, international contexts has honed my experience with rapid, low-tech, low-cost methods of data collection and analysis.  I add value to projects through rigorous, yet efficient, qualitative methods to engage local voices and collaborate with quantitative research professionals throughout an organization’s program cycle. I look forward to telling your story, working to add illuminating context and content to your organization’s story arc.
